NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Tennessee Titans agreed to
terms with right tackle David Stewart on a six-year contract
extension Saturday.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but the Tennessean is
reporting the deal is worth $38.9 with $10 million in guaranteed
money and a $6 million signing bonus. The 25-year-old Stewart,
who was a restricted free agent, will reportedly receive a $2
million roster bonus this year along with a $1 million base
salary.
Both the Titans and Stewart's agent Bus Cook were unavailable
for comment.
The 6-7, 318-pound is now under contract until 2013. A 2005
fourth-round pick, Stewart has started 30 games over the last
two seasons.
Tennessee continues to lock up the core of its offensive line to
protect superstar quarterback Vince Young. The Titans signed
left tackle Michael Roos to a six-year, $43 million extension in
April.
