"Pacman" not seeking reinstatement until trade

DALLAS (Ticker) -- Adam "Pacman" Jones would like to be a
member of the Dallas Cowboys before he goes in front of
commissioner Roger Goodell.
The Tennessee Titans cornerback told Michael Irvin on his ESPN
103.3 radio show Tuesday that he will wait to apply for
reinstatement until the heavily rumored trade to the Dallas
Cowboys is completed.
Previous reports stated that Jones was going to apply for his
return to the NFL on Tuesday regardless of whether the trade
happened or not.
Suspended since last April for numerous off-field problems,
Jones is very anxious for the reported deal to become a reality.
"I'm hoping it will be done this week, but that's just agent
talk," Jones said on the radio show. "We'll see how it goes and
I'll be tuning in (to ESPN) and I'm going back to my house and
get in front of the TV and hope it will get done today."
According to the Dallas Morning News, both the Cowboys and Jones
have made some concessions to the Titans to try to get the deal
done, with Dallas increasing its offer and the cornerback
foregoing some incentive money that was due to him.
Despite what the Cowboys and Jones have tried to do, the deal
still sits in limbo.
Even with the waiting, Jones is doing his best to be ready for
when he can return to the field.
"I just can't wait and hopefully it can get done," Jones said.
"I'm anxiously waiting. I've been working out three days a week
and I've slowed it down a little bit to give my body a rest, so
I can make sure I'm not too worn out when camp and the season
starts."
