Chiefs sign KR Sams, FB Manderino

KANSAS CITY (Ticker) -- The Kansas City Chiefs signed kick
returner B.J. Sams and fullback Chris Manderino, the team
announced Monday.
Sams will receive a one-year deal, while Manderino's contract is
for two years. Financial terms of both agreements were not
disclosed.
The 27-year-old Sams played in 43 games - one start at
cornerback - during four seasons with Baltimore. Sams has a
career kick return average of 22.9 and has two career punt
returns for touchdowns.
Manderino spent parts of two seasons on the Cincinnati Bengals
practice squad after signing with the team as an undrafted free
agent in 2006. He has never appeared in a game.
