Talking Hockey
September is winding down and October is around the corner. The days are getting shorter and the leaves are turning grey. College campuses across the nation are abuzz on Saturdays, while the NFL is kicking into high gear on Sundays. The baseball regular season is winding down, with the fall classic around the corner. It is a GREAT time to be a sports fan, and a GREAT time to cash in by following the advice of the football and baseball cappers on this very site.
I'm not here to help you win with the NFL. Nor College Football. Nor the World Series. But allow me to let you in on the best kept secret around. The NHL regular season is set to get underway, and there are TREMENDOUS opportunities to hit it big with the puck.
As you know by now, I was born in Canada. I was raised in Canada. I grew up watching hockey. I grew up playing hockey. Heck, I grew up living and breathing hockey. This is the game that I love, the game that I follow, the game that I know. So over the last month, while you've been watching NFL Football, I've been watching pre-season hockey. I've been analyzing the teams at training camp and monitoring player development. There've been a myriad of off-season trades, signings, and acquisitions that will have a huge impact on how the NHL regular season plays out, and I'm on top of it all.
Let me tell you something. As a handicapper, the early part of the NHL schedule is when you will find the best value. The reason for this is that the betting public has perceptions as to which teams are high performing based on the previous season and based on off-season acquisitions. But perception and reality are two very different things. Just because the masses view a team as good doesn't mean they actually are, nor does it mean that team will get off to a strong start. Hockey is a game of skill, but it is also a game of chemistry. Sometimes it takes time for teams to gel and for the line match-ups to fall into place. This creates mismatches that we can take advantage of together.
Hey .5? I appreciate that some of you reading this are huge hockey fans, while some of you aren't. Maybe you've never played the game. Maybe you've never studied the game. Heck, maybe you've never even watched the game. And you know what? You don't need to. You don't need to watch the games, because I'm watching them for you. Let me do the work, and we can reap the financial benefits together. In anticipating our hockey journey together, over the course of the next week I'll be previewing the upcoming season and providing you with a crash course in Puck 101. So lace up the skates and strap on your helmets, because this party is about to get started!
